About the Project

In Nakuru, capturing original footage offers an opportunity to document the rich tapestry of local life and its evolving infrastructure. A focal point of this visual narrative will be the vibrant daily activities at local markets, showcasing the energy, diversity, and lively interactions of vendors and buyers. These scenes will vividly portray the variety of goods on display, from fresh produce to handcrafted items, and the dynamic social exchanges that define the marketplace. Alongside this, the footage will highlight the multifaceted transport ecosystem, featuring cars, motorbikes, public transport, cyclists, and pedestrians. Within this context, particular emphasis will be placed on energy usage, from fuel-powered vehicles to renewable energy solutions that are increasingly transforming the local transport landscape.

The visual story extends to Nakuru's residential and urban settings, where energy use shapes daily life. Scenes of cooking, heating, and street lighting will demonstrate how energy sustains households and urban infrastructure, while the presence of solar panels and other renewable sources will underscore the shift toward sustainable energy practices. Complementing this, the city’s iconic landmarks, such as monuments and historic sites, will be featured alongside the serene beauty of urban nature, including parks, wetlands, and rivers. These elements collectively illustrate the harmonious interplay between Nakuru's bustling urban environment and its rich natural heritage.
